Creating Through the Seasons: The Art of Tamra Jean Asbell
Tamra Jean Asbell is an Oregon-based artist whose journey with creativity began in childhood, inspired by her artistic parents and an early passion discovered through a decoupage project in middle school. Raised in the scenic town of Sisters, Oregon, Tamra deepened her love for art by exploring a wide variety of mediums—graphite, watercolor, acrylic, pottery and especially oil, her favorite.
Tamra finds inspiration in the timeless works of Van Gogh, Monet, and Michelangelo, with Van Gogh’s story and spirit particularly influencing her own belief in the lasting power of art. For her, art speaks when words cannot, offering healing, light and hope.
After running her vintage boutique, Gypsy Junk, for a decade and hosting art classes there, Tamra recently turned her full attention back to her true calling—creating art and connecting with others through it. Her work is a celebration of perseverance, creativity, and legacy. Tamra’s mission is to inspire others to keep going, keep creating, and believe in the power of their own story.
Tamra’s artwork can be seen at Art & Music in Redmond, Oregon, where her pieces continue to uplift and inspire all who view them.
